An example of the magnificent civic buildings built conveniently on the main road is the <strong>Engelhardtsche Weinhandlung<\/strong>, the one that is related to <strong>The heyday of St. Goar wine cultivation<\/strong> was created. The representative building stands above a <strong>powerful cruciform cellar<\/strong>, which provided the ideal conditions for storing the wines. Several other houses on Oberstra\u00dfe are also former wine cellars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition to the <strong>House Engelhardt<\/strong> The Old Market Square of St. Goar, located centrally in the middle of the main street, stretched from the Oberstra\u00dfe to the city wall. Until the Thirty Years' War, the St. Goar cattle market was held here.
