Until 1979, the Hotel Lilie stood here.<\/strong>, The oldest inn on the Middle Rhine. It was already mentioned in 1346 as part of a settlement between Count Johann von Nassau and Count Johann von Katzenelnbogen. For a long time, it was one of the most famous inns on the Middle Rhine. The neighboring house was in the middle of the 19th century owned by the St. Goar Landrat Hans Carl Heuberger<\/strong>. There he took Ferdinand Freiligrath<\/strong> During his stay in St. Goar from 1842 to 1844, Freiligrath lived in the hotel Lilie.
